Xylem has published an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for the Flygt Concertor 6020 wastewater pump. The document provides consulting engineers, designers, utilities and local authorities with transparent data for sustainability assessments and procurement processes.
Valid for five years, an EPD is an independently verified document covering a product’s environmental impacts, including global warming potential, across its lifecycle, from raw materials and manufacturing through transport, use and end-of-life.
As sustainability requirements become increasingly important in tenders and public procurement, reliable environmental data can help customers to:
- Conduct lifecycle assessments (LCAs) at product, building and system level
- Assess environmental impacts including embodied carbon
- Respond to documentation requirements in tenders
- Support low-carbon project specifications and demonstrate carbon performance
- Provide environmental data for relevant European sustainability frameworks
The Flygt Concertor 6020 EPD has been developed in accordance with international and European standards. It has also been independently verified by NSF International, an accredited programme operator in health and safety testing.
The EPD forms part of Xylem’s wider work to make product environmental data available to customers, with sustainability disclosures covering more than 100 product variants across its portfolio.
